#NoColourNoFashion!

I'm always looking for change, and I am open to experimenting when I feel like something's getting monotonous. Especially when it comes to my hair, if I've got the same type of hair cut or colour for a while, it just doesn't feel right, and I look for something different.

I'm sure you've seen the ombre that I had for almost a year. My hair had grown quite a bit, and I was dying for a change. I was contemplating a haircut but I kept pushing it because I was so worried I'd miss my long hair. And suddenly one day I went ahead and chopped off the entire ombre! The change felt great and I had no regrets whatsoever, except for the fact that I was now back to my same old natural hair colour. Since I had gone from the phase of bright red hair, to caramel highlights, to an ombre, I thought of opting for something darker this time.

L'oreal's Casting Creme Gloss in 415 Iced Chocolate seemed like the perfect brown shade to bring in that little change without it being too drastic from my natural hair colour. Now I've tried a different shade from the same range before, and that was mainly because it was ammonia free and I needed it to touch up my greys (I have a lot of premature greys btw). So I knew that using this colour at home by myself would be super easy and manageable. I was just a little skeptical about how dark the colour would look, and turns out, it wasn't too light or dark, but seemed to be just right. Not only was my hair a brand new colour, it was also super shiny and glossy!

Now that I've finished my rant about my hair colour, let's get to the #NoColourNoFashion bit, shall we? I had the opportunity to work with L'oreal and a few lovely bloggers on a fun campaign for the Casting Creme Gloss range. We all coloured our hair with different shades of the hair colour, and were part of an extremely fun shoot (see the outtake here). Although we may not realise it, our hair colour forms a huge part of the first impression we make on people. The better our hair looks, the better an impact we create. And that's exactly what #NoColourNoFashion is all about.

So the next time you're contemplating getting your hair coloured, and aren't sure how to go about it, give Casting Creme Gloss a shot. You can easily do it at home, and I'm sure you'll be delighted with the way your hair turns out!
