It's time for Part deux of my Lux Fragrance Experience, and this time it's all about Grasse, the fragrance capital of the world!
Carrying on from my last post, which covered my first two days in Paris, we took a short flight to Nice, after which we had a bus journey to Grasse.
On our way, we stopped at this beautiful restaurant by the beach somewhere around Cote D'Azur, that had the most stunning view. While waiting for our meal to arrive, I also sneaked in a couple outfit pictures. I wasn't in the most ideal beach attire, but the location was so pretty, I couldn't pass! The lunch was probably one of the most delicious meals I've ever had! I have a really small appetite, and can usually never finish even a starter by myself. But that day, I got through the starter, main and dessert all on my own, and I must say, I was extremely pleased with myself!
After checking into our rooms, we rested it out for a bit before freshening up and heading out to explore the streets of Grasse. It's a really small city, but everything about it is so beautiful and charming!
For dinner, we had the gorgeous view of the sunset at Lou Fassum, and I consumed one too many glasses of champagne with grapefruit juice and a hint of lavender (a combination you must try!).
The next morning, we visited the Museum of Paris, where we got to experience so many different scents and explore the history of fragrance. I also tried a children's drink at lunch, which is a mix of Orangina and grenadine, and is apparently very popular in France haha.
Post lunch, we met with Grance Wilkins, who is an illustrator for Dior, who very kindly illustrated each one of us, and allowed us to colour in the illustrations with water colour. I hadn't painted in ages, and I had an absolute blast!
Since we had a little time to spare, some of us decided to roam around the quaint streets of Grasse for a while before heading back to our hotel.
For our last dinner of the trip, we went to a Michelin Star restaurant at La Bastide Saint Antoine. It was our last night with the entire group, and I really didn't want to leave! The entire trip was an absolutely amazing experience, and I am so thankful to Lux for making my birthday and these 4 days such so special and memorable.
